The therapy for LGBTQIA+ issues best suited for you.

A safe space for LGBTQIA+ people to explore and better understand their sexuality, receive support in the 'coming out' process and address other personal issues.

This therapy is specifically intended for the interests and needs of LGBTQIA+ people and their families. Studies indicate that individuals who identify as part of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual and other orientations community have a higher probability of facing mental health challenges.

Unfortunately, the social, family and professional environment can be hostile to non-heterosexual or non-cisgender individuals, leading to situations that can seriously affect their mental health.

In these sessions, it is possible to discuss relationship issues or explore gender identity with a mental health professional who has experience and specialized training in this area, with total privacy and safety.

Clinical Psychologist

Master in Clinical Psychology and with a Post-Graduation in Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity by ISPA – University Institute of Psychological, Social and Life Sciences. Member of the Portuguese Society of Clinical Psychology.

I worked with children, adolescents, and adults in the context of a Family Health Unit (Lisbon) and a Hospital (Barreiro). I developed work at Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Lisbon and I am currently working in psychological support for trauma victims at the Portuguese Council for Refugees.

A clinical psychologist's and/or psychotherapist's role is to carefully listen to the other person's point of view. The ability and willingness to do so is therapeutic in and of itself. The method I use is always a collaborative process.

I describe myself as someone who is never indifferent to the pain and anguish of those who are close to me. I enjoy being around people and socializing with them, as well as exercising and playing tennis.

Clinical and Health Psychologist

I am a Clinical and Health Psychologist, holding a degree in Clinical Psychology from ISPA and recognized by the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association, with specializations in Clinical and Health Psychology, Community Psychology, and Sexology.

I support adults who are looking to better understand themselves, improve their emotional well-being, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Throughout my professional journey, I have developed expertise in areas such as emotional difficulties, relationship challenges, sexuality, and life transitions. I have also worked in contexts related to Gender Equality, Human Rights, and the prevention of violence, with a particular focus on women’s health and support for vulnerable individuals.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I integrate humanistic and cognitive-behavioral approaches to adapt the therapeutic process to your unique needs, goals, and life story.

In our sessions, you will find a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we will work towards greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and meaningful, lasting change.

I believe therapy should feel accessible, practical, and truly supportive in your day-to-day life — helping you not only understand yourself better, but also feel better and live with more clarity and confidence.

If you are going through a challenging moment, feeling stuck, or simply looking to invest in your personal growth, I am here to support you.

In my free time, I enjoy being in nature and engaging in outdoor activities, which I value as an important part of maintaining balance and well-being.

Clinical psychologist

I have a combined master's degree in systemic clinical psychology and several professional training courses, including an advanced specialisation in psychological coaching, an advanced double specialisation in clinical sexology and couple therapy, an advanced specialisation in cognitive-behavioral therapies with adults, and an advanced course in scheme therapy.

Over the past two years, I have focused on issues relating to romantic relationships, from sexuality to processes of loving grief, via new forms of relational models, toxic and abusive relationships, and the impact on self-esteem, levels of individual anxiety, and structuring beliefs that support these processes.

My work's goal is to be a vehicle of assistance in the process of individual change, so that the person can build more conscious and healthy relationships, not only with others but, most importantly, with himself.

I believe in the potential for change in everyone, as long as there is a commitment to do so, and I believe that humour is an essential working tool for this to happen. I am a lighthearted and enjoyable person, which contrasts sharply with my love of horror films and detective novels.

Forensic Clinical Psychologist and Victim Support Technician

I hold a Master’s degree in Forensic Clinical Psychology – Intervention with Victims and Offenders from Instituto Universitário da Maia, obtained in 2019, and have been a Victim Support Technician since 2020. I possess an advanced post-university specialization in Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapies from the Portuguese Institute of Psychology and Other Sciences (INSPsic), and I completed a Course on Knowledge and Skills for Psychological Trauma Intervention offered by the University of Minho.

Currently, I work as a clinical psychologist in a private practice setting.

Working with vulnerable groups has allowed me to recognize the importance of respecting each person’s pace in the therapeutic process and has shown me that our future plans are as vast as the world around us. I believe in the potential for change in every person and that the therapeutic process is facilitated when work is collaborative and coordinated.

I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and dining out. However, I also value having time alone!

Clinical psychology; Sexual Counselling; Victim Support Technique

Specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology.

I began my professional career in social work, but quickly realized that this was not what I wanted to do for a living. I wanted something more intense and deeper, so I changed my major to psychology.

In this profession, I learned about myself, I discovered myself, and I met and discovered amazing people who came to me and trusted me with their stories, secrets, and fantasies. I realized how much responsibility being in a relationship entail. I wanted to learn more and give more of myself, so I specialized in sexuality and in couple's relationships, embracing the issues of healthy relationships as opposed to violent relationships, sexuality and the experience of eroticism and pleasure, sexual dysfunctions, sexual orientations, and non-normative gender identities and expressions.

I devote myself entirely to developing rewarding relationships of empathy and trust with people who bravely seek my assistance.

Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist

Graduated in Clinical Psychology from the University of Lisbon in 1996, with a master's degree from ISPA on Childhood Psychosis, and a member of the Society of Clinical Psychology with training in psychoanalytically inspired psychotherapy.

Mental illness and its various facets—the crossroads that the psyche sometimes unexpectedly creates, altering people's lives like mental tsunamis—have instilled in me an ever more vivid and active curiosity about the importance of mental health. Addressing the suffering that sometimes breaks the thin barrier between health and illness has led us to understand and accept that health is our most precious asset. Without it, enthusiasm and the ability to feel alive and active decline.

It seems relatively unlikely that someone can heal alone and in solitude. Therefore, I offer what I believe to be most precious—experience, technique, theoretical knowledge, and the ability to welcome those who seek to share their suffering.
