The psychological support or psychotherapy best suited for you.

They aim to increase well-being and balance, allowing individuals to deal with emotions and feelings in a more positive way.

These interventions can contribute to raising self-esteem, self-confidence and assertiveness or developing interpersonal skills, such as empathy, communication, autonomy, etc. Everything you say is absolutely confidential. There are no mandatory topics and you don't need to say anything you're not comfortable with.

Psychological support -- the objective is to provide immediate emotional support, helping the individual deal with specific situations or acute crises, such as relationship problems, lack of motivation, professional conflicts, unemployment, separations, grief, anxiety and momentary sadness.

It is based on active listening, empathy and counseling, aiming at the relief of specific symptoms or the resolution of situational crises.

Generally of short duration, with weekly or fortnightly sessions. It is conducted by clinical psychologists with a view to restoring psychological balance.

Psychotherapy -- the objective is to reduce psychological suffering and promote personal development, exploring deeper emotional issues and behavioral patterns.

It involves a longer and deeper process, based on dialogue and a trust relationship between psychotherapist and patient, allowing a comprehensive understanding of the individual and the transformation of patterns of thought, behavior and emotions.

It tends to be of long duration, with regular sessions, aiming at effective and permanent changes. It is conducted by a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist who has specialization in Psychotherapy.

The choice between psychological support and psychotherapy should be based on individual needs and the complexity of the issues presented, and it is recommended to consult a clinical psychologist for a proper evaluation.

Anxiety, stress, depression, self-awareness and personal development, relationship Difficulties, and grief recovery (Adults).

Clinical and health psychology specialist. Received advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. Certified in Psychosocial Crisis Intervention, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Online Therapy.

I have over 12 years of clinical practice and have provided psychotherapeutic support to adults in both private practice and in an organizational setting.

My approach is predicated on the assumption that significant past experiences shape who we are and how we behave. I provide a safe and private environment in which you can reflect on anything that bothers you and open yourself to a new perspective of yourself, improve self-knowledge, your relationship with yourself and others, and your ability to love and enjoy life to the fullest.

I am a dynamic individual who enjoys challenges, the beach, and the sea. Practicing Yoga is a way of being in life for me. Being a psychologist as well. I am a firm believer in people's ability to change. It is a passion and a privilege to be able to help you realizing your potential and discovering the best version of yourself.

I graduated from the University of Coimbra with a degree in clinical psychology, specializing in cognitive behavioral therapy.

It is a practical, direct, and very human approach that allows me to quickly and effectively carry out teamwork between psychologist and patient.

I've been in this profession for 24 years, and I'm still fascinated by the power of change in the people I've worked with and continue to work with. In this sense, I believe that my role is to guide, help understanding reality, and encourage each individual's inner growth.

I've already appeared on two television shows, and I often go to the television because I find it critical to spread the word about clinical psychology.

I also write for magazines on a variety of topics.

My job is my passion, and I'm ready to help you to grow.

I have a combined master's degree in systemic clinical psychology and several professional training courses, including an advanced specialisation in psychological coaching, an advanced double specialisation in clinical sexology and couple therapy, an advanced specialisation in cognitive-behavioral therapies with adults, and an advanced course in scheme therapy.

Over the past two years, I have focused on issues relating to romantic relationships, from sexuality to processes of loving grief, via new forms of relational models, toxic and abusive relationships, and the impact on self-esteem, levels of individual anxiety, and structuring beliefs that support these processes.

My work's goal is to be a vehicle of assistance in the process of individual change, so that the person can build more conscious and healthy relationships, not only with others but, most importantly, with himself.

I believe in the potential for change in everyone, as long as there is a commitment to do so, and I believe that humour is an essential working tool for this to happen. I am a lighthearted and enjoyable person, which contrasts sharply with my love of horror films and detective novels.

Clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist

I have extensive professional experience, which includes, in addition to psychotherapy/psychological support sessions, several years of work in a corporate environment, allowing me to have a privileged view of the relational dynamics that arise from it.

Whether in a personal or work context, difficulties sometimes arise in dealing with our emotions or even expressing them, be it sadness, anger, joy, or fear. At other times, we encounter various types of blockages, a lack of meaning in life, or the feeling that we cannot communicate and establish relationships with others in a gratifying way, without anxiety or guilt.

In the face of these situations and the suffering they entail, what I propose is to offer a qualified, committed, empathetic therapeutic relationship, person to person, leading to the necessary and desired personal and relational change.

Outside of professional activity, I enjoy being a mother, everything related to the enormous love and fascination I feel for animals (especially dogs and cats), reading (my lifelong passion), seeking self-knowledge, and experiencing good friendships.

Professional License: 7758

Hello, I'm Rute, and from a very early age, I've been drawn to understanding what lies hidden in the human mind – the invisible dynamics that shape who we are and which, often, we carry without realizing. My journey is dedicated to helping people recognize these connections and their own unconscious language.

Throughout my 15 years as a clinical psychologist, I've learned that the stories we carry are part of something greater. In each session, I observe how family patterns, old beliefs, and even unspoken truths from past generations can subtly yet profoundly influence our lives. This is where I find my purpose: supporting each person in seeking understanding and acceptance of their story, so they can live more lightly.

My passion for nature, art, dance, and mindfulness is part of this journey. Nature teaches us about cycles and renewal, art reveals what words sometimes cannot, and dance invites us to move and find our place. Through these experiences, I realize that human development is like a choreography we dance with life, where each step, each gesture, has its own meaning.

In addition to my training in clinical psychology and a postgraduate degree in art therapy, I am a certified Coach and Mindfulness Instructor.

Clinical psychologist and psychotherapist

Specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology and in Psychotherapy. Individual psychotherapy for youth, adults and seniors.

I've been a psychotherapist for 20 years, with a diverse, consolidated, and innovative curriculum, due to the excellent scientific, theoretical, and technological expansion that I've been following in Portugal and abroad, and which also demonstrate the great success of online clinical sessions.

I actively and continuously seek adaptation to each person's unique way of being and current circumstances, whose life context has led them to a place of suffering from which they must leave in order to find mental well-being.

I believe it is critical to provide adequate information on all important aspects of psychotherapeutic work, and to establish the means chosen from the start, which can and must be continually adapted. We will create a safe and unique relationship together, using various modes of expression (speech or silence, artistic expressions or facts, history or descriptions, dreams or realities, etc.), which will then be improved and evaluated. In general, the goal is to increase self-awareness, active choice possibilities, and the quantity and quality of available mental resources. Together, I will help you to achieve greater emotional balance, more meaningful personal achievements, and more satisfying relationships.

I am a dedicated, authentic, and enthusiastic person at work, as well as in my personal life. I enjoy learning, chatting with friends, watching my children grow up, listening to music, and other types of art. More recently, sea and snow sports have also become important for my well-being.

Clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and psychoanalyst

The Portuguese Psychologists Association recognizes me as a Clinical and Health Psychologist Specialist, a Specialist Psychotherapist certified by the Portuguese Society of Clinical Psychology, and a Psychoanalyst certified by the Portuguese Psychoanalytic Center. I have extensive and ongoing training in a variety of areas of psychology, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis for infants, children, adolescents, and adults.

I've been working in clinical care for nearly 20 years, and I also teach various areas of psychology as part of professional curricular and higher technical professional courses.

In terms of clinical care methodology, a first consultation will aim to assess the clinical situation. It will thus be oriented as an opportunity to gather information that allows for a preliminary interpretation of what is happening, exploration of the possible causes of the problem, and treatment advice.

If a psychotherapeutic intervention (also known as psychotherapy) is deemed appropriate and necessary, a change process will begin. I'd like to point out that psychotherapy is an experience that broadens knowledge about people's thinking and behavior, which is why it transforms.

Given that our lives deserve to be analysed, this is my proposal.

The technique I employ is based on the rule of "free expression and association of ideas," which encourages emotion naming, self-affirmation, personal revelation, and a process of self-analysis and analysis of others. This process occurs as a result of an internal logic that is sometimes unknown until it is heard by us.

My current intervention focuses on Supportive Psychotherapy, in which I encourage individuals to reflect on their thoughts, behaviours, feelings, and emotions, with the goal of increasing self-knowledge and self-analysis, but most importantly, psychological well-being.

Active listening and empathy in the therapeutic relationship are critical to me, and they are pillars in all of my interventions. I am grateful for the psychotherapeutic process, which is a never-ending journey of discovery. Music, reading, and movies, along with Psychology, enrich my daily life.

Specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology.

I began my professional career in social work, but quickly realized that this was not what I wanted to do for a living. I wanted something more intense and deeper, so I changed my major to psychology.

In this profession, I learned about myself, I discovered myself, and I met and discovered amazing people who came to me and trusted me with their stories, secrets, and fantasies. I realized how much responsibility being in a relationship entail. I wanted to learn more and give more of myself, so I specialized in sexuality and in couple's relationships, embracing the issues of healthy relationships as opposed to violent relationships, sexuality and the experience of eroticism and pleasure, sexual dysfunctions, sexual orientations, and non-normative gender identities and expressions.

I devote myself entirely to developing rewarding relationships of empathy and trust with people who bravely seek my assistance.

Clinical psychologist and psychotherapist

Clinical and health psychology specialist, as well as organizational and work psychology specialist

I hold a degree in Clinical Psychology, a postgraduate degree in Client-Centered Psychotherapy, and I have received training in parenting, mindfulness, coaching, and management.

Since my adolescence, I've been troubled by questions about who I am and what I want to do with my life. I knew from a young age that my mission was to be a channel of healing, so I chose to study psychology to satisfy my passion for helping people while also learning more about human nature. Since 2003, I've been working as a psychologist, learning and teaching the art of living to people of all ages and cultures. After finishing my degree, I spent a year in Mozambique working at a public hospital. I have been practicing clinical psychology for 17 years, providing consultations in private clinics. Throughout my career, I have also worked as a social project coordinator and a behavioral trainer (emotional management and communication). I spent a decade working for the “Ordem dos Psicólogos”, where I worked in training, professional internship management, and career management. I specialized in Person-Centered (Humanistic) Psychotherapy.

The psychological intervention I carry out is the result of my diversified professional experience and continued training. Humanist and transpersonal currents inspire me, and I use techniques from psychotherapy, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and coaching. My approach is based on facilitating the client's self-awareness process, assisting the individual's personal growth process, and assisting the person in the development of practical strategies to achieve their goals, thereby promoting a higher quality of life. I believe that each person is unique and has the internal resources to be happy; therefore, the psychologist, in my opinion, is the catalyst for the change that the client wishes to see in his life.

I'm a mother who has been teaching yoga and meditation classes for over a decade. In my spare time, I enjoy contemplating nature, reading, gardening, and I travel the world whenever possible.

Clinical and Health Psychology Specialization

With over 20 years of clinical psychology experience in various areas and contexts, I have recently developed clinical practice in a private practice. More recently, in 2017, I began what I consider to be a new phase of my professional life: intervening with deaf people, a very enriching opportunity, since deafness is an unknown world, due to the communication barriers it imposes.

"I am human, and I think nothing human is alien to me." (Terencio). I've always been fascinated by human behavior, and I realized that this was the path I wanted to take: psychology, listening to and understanding the Other in his suffering. Psychotherapy allows us to gain greater knowledge of ourselves and has as its main objective the reduction of suffering, through the understanding of the internal factors that may be at its origin. In my consultations, I am concerned with ensuring an environment that helps in this journey, in search of new opportunities to restore hope to people's lives.

I am a family-oriented person with a wide range of interests. I enjoy listening to music, but I also appreciate silence. I value the opportunity to share visions and knowledge that comes with investing in lifelong learning and teamwork.

I am a Clinical and Health Psychologist, holding a degree in Clinical Psychology from ISPA and recognized by the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association, with specializations in Clinical and Health Psychology, Community Psychology, and Sexology.

I support adults who are looking to better understand themselves, improve their emotional well-being, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Throughout my professional journey, I have developed expertise in areas such as emotional difficulties, relationship challenges, sexuality, and life transitions. I have also worked in contexts related to Gender Equality, Human Rights, and the prevention of violence, with a particular focus on women’s health and support for vulnerable individuals.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered. I integrate humanistic and cognitive-behavioral approaches to adapt the therapeutic process to your unique needs, goals, and life story.

In our sessions, you will find a safe, non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we will work towards greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and meaningful, lasting change.

I believe therapy should feel accessible, practical, and truly supportive in your day-to-day life — helping you not only understand yourself better, but also feel better and live with more clarity and confidence.

If you are going through a challenging moment, feeling stuck, or simply looking to invest in your personal growth, I am here to support you.

In my free time, I enjoy being in nature and engaging in outdoor activities, which I value as an important part of maintaining balance and well-being.

Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist

Graduated in Clinical Psychology from the University of Lisbon in 1996, with a master's degree from ISPA on Childhood Psychosis, and a member of the Society of Clinical Psychology with training in psychoanalytically inspired psychotherapy.

Mental illness and its various facets—the crossroads that the psyche sometimes unexpectedly creates, altering people's lives like mental tsunamis—have instilled in me an ever more vivid and active curiosity about the importance of mental health. Addressing the suffering that sometimes breaks the thin barrier between health and illness has led us to understand and accept that health is our most precious asset. Without it, enthusiasm and the ability to feel alive and active decline.

It seems relatively unlikely that someone can heal alone and in solitude. Therefore, I offer what I believe to be most precious—experience, technique, theoretical knowledge, and the ability to welcome those who seek to share their suffering.

Clinical psychologist of transpersonal orientation

I graduated in Lisbon and have been a psychologist for over 20 years. After moving to Portugal, I began working as a speaker and writer, and in 2000, I founded "PsiCoEstar," a pioneering psychology center in Mozambique that offers individual/group development and healing practices.

I have extensive experience in psychological counselling, whether it is individual or couple therapy (in Portuguese and in English). As a consultant, I have set up and organized a series of workshops and retreats for state and private organizations in Mozambique (some international).

More intuitive than technical, more practical than theoretical, I consider myself a specialist in the awakening of Consciousness. My intervention approach is regarded as innovative, direct, and effective, with an average of 2 to 4 consultations per person.

Psychologist and Psychotherapist

Clinical and Health Psychology and Psychotherapy specialist

Graduated in Clinical and Counseling Psychology in 1999, followed by Postgraduate training in Developmental Psychology (child, adolescent, adult) and Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy.

Over the years, I have practised Psychology and Psychotherapy in a private setting (adults, adolescents, and children) while also working on a mental health and cognitive deficit equipment.

I believe that psychology is essential for promoting health and psychological well-being throughout an individual's life cycle; it is a tool for preventing and resolving the most difficult or challenging moments to overcome, but it is also a means of self-knowledge and individual development. I believe that the primary model to follow in the therapeutic relationship is the uniqueness of each individual.

One of the most enriching experiences of my life has been embracing psychology. I also enjoy going on nature walks and hikes; being near the sea is always inspiring to me.

Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist

OPP Professional Certificate No. 8693

I have been a Clinical and Health Psychologist as well as a Psychotherapist for 32 years and I love what I do. I was always perfecting my training in order to seek more technical knowledge and know how.

I actively and continually seek adaptation to the singularities of each patient, using techniques appropriate to their context and their variables that led them to a place of suffering, promoting mental well-being and internal regulation. I help to increase self-awareness, to increase the possibilities of being happy, to activate available resources, looking for balance in emotional management, boosting personal achievements and satisfying relationships (for some people, it can be saying “no” to toxic relationships). If necessary, I help build a “Dossier” of Change, where we “review” individual goals in multiple dimensions of life, in order to reach “places” of happiness. Its duration and effectiveness depend on the objective of each patient and can be summarized in a few sessions, or, being longer, “opening more drawers”. My focus is not the process itself, but the Person and what him/her want to change in their life, extinguishing the symptoms. I follow people all over the world online.

I am dedicated and enthusiastic about my work, also in life in general. I take pleasure in learning new things, talking with friends, being with family, watching children grow, feeling music, literature, arts, animals and nature, helping people in NGOs. I love life in general and, in particular, I feel like a privileged person for those around me and who are part of my territory of affections. I have already faced powerful health challenges in my life, but I managed to find tools to walk through with success. My purpose is to sow well-being and wisdom and be there - always. I practice Mindfulness. Am I tired? No. I never want to retire and I will continue to go to bed with dreams and wake up with purposes.

Clinical Psychologist

I hold an Integrated Master's Degree in Clinical and Health Psychology (Systemic Psychotherapy and Family Therapy), with advanced specializations in Neuropsychology and Psychology of Pregnancy and Parenthood.

My passion for the field of pregnancy and parenthood led me to seek more specific training in the United States (Seleni Institute - Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Perinatal Loss and Grief), Australia (COPE - Basic Skills in Perinatal Mental Health), and Brazil (Psychopathologies of Pregnancy and the Puerperium).

I work with women and their families in private practice, collaborating with various clinics, childbirth preparation courses in local Family Health Units (USFs), and providing training to other psychologists in the field.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, client-centered, and personalized. I prioritize Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) for its humanistic and experiential nature, aiming to transform central emotional experiences involved in various clinical situations.

Having grown up and currently residing by the beach, I can't imagine living elsewhere. I enjoy surfing, running along the shoreline, and reading to the sound of the ocean. I am informal and relaxed, deeply believing in the power of relationships—both personal and therapeutic. While I am a people person, I also appreciate moments of silence. As a mother, my daughter serves as a constant source of inspiration.

I offer consultations in both Portuguese and English.

Psychologist and Psychotherapist

I have a degree in Psychology from ISPA and a Master’s in Helping Relationships, also from ISPA, carried out in collaboration with Regent's College in London. In addition, I completed the Existential Psychotherapy Training Course at the “Sociedade Portuguesa de Psicoterapia Existencial”.

I have seven years of clinical experience as a psychologist and psychotherapist, working with adults individually. I worked in a public hospital's Psychiatry Department as well as a private office.

Human behavior has always fascinated me. I enjoy attempting to understand others, listening to them, and assisting them. Psychotherapy, in my opinion, is a collaborative journey between therapist and patient, a process of clarifying and discovering new meanings for the patient's existential situation. Aside from psychology, I am interested in cinema, literature, and music. I also enjoy going for walks in nature.

I've been a Clinical Psychologist for 25 years, having graduated from the University of Porto's, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (FPCEUP) and becoming a specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology. I have a background in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and have worked at the Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation Center and Primary Health Care for many years.

This journey is based on the relationship with the Other and the search for meaning(s) through the elaboration of past and present experiences, allowing the thinking apparatus to think thoughts, emotions, and feelings.

The current emotional suffering is the engine, promoting personal development is the jubilee. This is a relationship of unique assistance, trust, respect, courage.

My mantra is to do what you enjoy, enjoy what you do, and do it well.

Besides psychology... Cycling, reading, listening to stories, opera, and smelling wet earth are just a few of the thousand and one good things in life.

Clinical psychologist and Psychotherapist

Master in Clinical Psychology from ISPA. Candidate member of the Portuguese Society of Existential Psychotherapy.

Clinical experience in a variety of settings and with a variety of age groups. Currently, I work primarily with adolescents and adults, both in schools (secondary and university) and in the private sector. Empathy, humour, and insight are enhanced by training and clinical experience. What the psychotherapeutic process provides is an encounter with oneself in a setting that encourages self-reflection - on one's beliefs and values, how they affect one's way of being, actions, and relationships with others. Psychotherapy is a two-person discovery process that will help you live more authentically. I am determined to help and support you on this journey by creating a safe space in which you can feel heard and understood.

Outside of the office, I enjoy photography, going to the movies, and attending concerts. I also enjoy taking walks and discovering new places.

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Clinical Psychologist

Psychotherapy sessions and psychological consultations in my clinical practice are moments of investigation and transformation based on a cooperative relationship between two equals.

The goal is to resolve problems, symptoms, and suffering by increasing self-awareness, deep understanding, self-acceptance, and openness to others and the world.

Attitudes, convictions, preconceived ideas, long or short-term external impositions, reasons for named or unnamed fears are all investigated: everything that appears immutable, intrinsic, but only hinders and causes suffering.

The past is examined to the extent required to comprehend the present and unlock the future. Dream and plan. New ways of expressing oneself and forming relationships are discovered.

The therapeutic relationship is open and direct, with regard for the patient's concerns, inhibitions, and resistances.

There is no master or apprentice, only a therapist who uses his technical resources and experience to meet the needs of the patient in a collaborative and complicity process.

Sessions last 50 minutes and are usually held once a week, though this can be adjusted based on each person's needs, abilities, and interests.

The duration can range from a few sessions, (when dealing with specific issues), to long processes, (when it involves deeper and structural issues.)

I have a degree in Psychology / Psychotherapy and Counseling, as well as a post-graduate certificate in HR Management and Psychological Coaching.

I've reconciled human resource management with behavioral training and coaching, allowing me to glean fundamental synergies for professional practice.

Psychological Coaching combines a trusting and supportive relationship with encouragement to change the way you see yourself and act in various life contexts. It is a process that is based on self- awareness, the appreciation of potential, and the discovery of solutions, transforming often-deferred intentions into concrete change strategies.

Based on the fact that many of our limitations and blocks come from within, I believe that each person is creative and full of abilities that have yet to be discovered, allowing them to exercise control over their lives, give new meaning to their past history, make choices and conscious decisions, and thus influence their own future.

I combine my interest in human discovery with a love for music, theatre, and other performing arts, which place us in different contexts and foster creativity and perseverance.
